My yoga classes blend MindBody Centering Yoga techniques, animal medicine cards, and simple meditation to help unravel anxiety and invite more stillness into your busy life.
Everyone is welcome at these yoga classes, regardless of experience with yoga, age, physical fitness, mobility, or financial situation. We begin with deep breathing to calm the mind and then move into gentle stretches to warm the body. During each class, I will guide you in releasing the locations where we carry chronic strain: the jaw, shoulders, lower back, hamstrings, and feet. To close, we will rest together in supportive restorative postures and allow the mind to fully unwind with a guided meditation on an animal medicine card selected at the beginning of class.
7:00 PM :: YOGALATES (Beginning August 24)
In this mixture of Yoga and Pilates, we focus on enhancing balance, building strength, and exploring the subtleties of "core strength." I teach this class at the Family Life Center at First Christian Church, 1130 N Main St, Kernersville, NC 27284. FLC Fitness Classes are free for members! OCTOBER 6-7, 2017 :: Creative Exploration to Ease Anxiety at The Sawtooth Center
Flowing seamlessly between MindBody Centering yoga postures, process painting, and meditative journaling, the Creative Exploration to Ease Anxiety workshop provides resources to dismantle anxiety and allow a continual flow of energy from the supportive roots of your body to the beautiful blossoms of your imagination.
Workshop times are as follows: Friday evening, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm; Saturday, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. Scholarships available.
