Yoga helps us balance ourselves in the middle of a busy life, melting tension and stress in the body and mind. This Yoga Stretch class will release the blocked energy that causes fatigue, frustration, anxiety, and agitation. By staying in poses for 2-5 minutes, space is created for deep healing and rejuvenation. This class is a beneficial experience for everyone, no matter how much experience you have with yoga! 4:30 PM :: YIN YOGA @ Wellville Massage & Healing Arts (beginning Feb 25, 2018)
A calming and passive class, Yin Yoga moves us through long supported seated and supine poses. Each pose is typically held for 3 to 5 minutes with props underneath you in order to access the deepest layers of fascia. If you work at a desk, spend long hours in the car, or are trying to amp up your seated meditation practice, this is the class for you! By stretching the connective tissue, Yin Yoga conditions you to sit longer—and more comfortably. Join me for this class at Wellville Massage & Healing Arts, 3401 University Drive in Durham. Class prices and directions available at www.wellvillenc.com.

While I began my career as an artist, art teacher, and web designer, I stumbled upon yoga while searching for a way to heal my own body. Since then, I have spent a decade studying yoga therapy, biodynamic craniosacral therapy, reiki, Thai yoga, behavioral economics, embryology, neurology, and many other science-based disciplines to develop a holistic understanding of the body.
As a professional yoga teacher, I use a wide array of techniques to illuminate the interwoven relationships between our anatomy and our emotional body. I do this in order to fulfill her deepest calling: to assist people of all backgrounds and abilities with finding a deep sense of well-being, wholeness, and strength so that they can go out and live empowered, fulfilling lives.
I'm also a new mom and loving it. My son is a constant reminder of why yoga is healing -- and why I love working for myself. He's also the best excuse for a taking a walking break. If you attend one of my workshops or classes, you will definitely get some baby snuggles.
